Bell peppers are often grown in cold climates. The taste of bell peppers depends on growing conditions, care, cultivar and storage when harvested. Growing bell peppers is not difficult, but requires a lot of care to keep the bell peppers succulent and fruitful.

Items needed
Seeds: You can buy bell pepper seeds from a garden store or use the seeds in fresh bell peppers to make seeds.
Soil: Bell peppers are not picky about soil, but you should choose soil that is loose, rich in humus and has a pH of 5.5 – 7. In addition, you can use additional fertilizers to stimulate plant growth.
Plant pot: Choose a pot that is at least 25-30cm deep, spacious and has enough drainage holes at the bottom of the pot. Avoid using dark-colored pots with materials that easily absorb heat because bell peppers cannot withstand too high temperatures.
How to plant trees
Step 1 Prepare the soil
You put the soil in the pot, then mix it well to loosen it, then apply a sufficient amount of fertilizer and water a little water to keep the soil moist.
Step 2 Prepare seeds
You soak chili seeds in warm water about 50 degrees Celsius for about 2-8 hours to help the seeds germinate quickly. Note: Warm water for soaking seeds has a formula of 7 cold water and 3 hot water.
Step 3 Sow seeds
After the seeds germinate, spread the bell pepper seeds on the soil surface of the pot. You can add a little bagasse, rice husk or coconut fiber if available. Then, use a mist sprayer to spray the soil surface a few times to keep the soil moist. Pro tip: If you don’t have bagasse, rice husk or coconut fiber, you can replace it with a thin layer of soil.
Step 4 Fertilize
10-12 days after sowing the seeds, you apply the first fertilizer to the plants. The second round of fertilizing is about 12 – 15 days after the first. The third phase is about 20 days after the second phase. After each harvest of bell peppers, you should add fertilizer and loosen the soil gently. Bell peppers need a lot of nutrition to grow, so you should prioritize choosing fertilizers rich in nutrients such as organic fertilizer, earthworm parts…
Step 5 Extract the pot
After about 25 days, the chili plants will be 10-15cm tall. Choose the healthiest plants to separate and plant in separate pots to help the plants grow faster. You should water twice a day, early in the morning and late in the evening, avoid watering at midday.
Step 6 Prune branches
After 30 days, you should prune the branches, remove damaged or worm-eaten branches and leaves to keep the pepper plant healthy, and at the same time help the base of the plant to be well-ventilated.
Step 7 Harvest
You can harvest bell peppers after 60-90 days of care. Depending on your needs, you can harvest bell peppers when they are still green or when they are ripe and turn red or yellow. Note: When picking bell peppers, you should pick both the stem and the fruit so that the plant can soon produce new shoots.
How to care for plants
• Water correctly and sufficiently: Watering time is twice a day in the early morning and late afternoon in summer. Do not water during the hot afternoon sun. In winter, watering should be done in the cool of the evening. Do not water too much.
• Suitable temperature: Suitable planting and growing temperature is about 15-30 degrees Celsius.
• Prune old leaves: Old, withered leaves should be pruned, leaving only young, green leaves so that the plant can branch well and grow strongly.
• Clean the grass: Pay attention to cleaning the grass regularly about 1-2 times a week, depending on the amount of grass generated.
